À propos
I’m Nina Bonobi, the artist pseudonym I use to explore the intersection of science and art. Born in India, I spent my early childhood in Canada before returning to India for the remainder of my schooling. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and, driven by a passion for science, taught myself French before moving to France to pursue a master’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris.
Awarded a prestigious PhD grant from the french government, I stayed in France to complete my PhD, where I also met my wonderful husband, solidifying my decision to make France my home. My scientific career has included a postdoctoral position in drug discovery in a big pharmaceutical company, and I’ve since founded my own biotech startup.
Beyond the lab, I express my creativity through painting under the name Nina Bonobi, working from my studio in Deuil-la-Barre, just north of Paris. My art reflects my scientific background, as I explore the beauty and complexity of the natural world.
